#4: What is your earliest memory?

Lynette: I'm pretty sure that I don't really remember this on my own, but I think I just remember people telling me about it.  But, regardless, it's the earliest thing I "remember".  When I was 2 or 3 I was at my brother's soccer game and I fell of the monkey bars on the playground.  I fell on the ground and bit a hole in my bottom lip/chin.  My mom took me to the ER and I "remember" them putting a drape over my face and stitching me up.  Afterwards they told me how good I did.  Okay, really, I probably am not actually remembering that.  To be honest, I have a terrible memory.  I hardly remember stuff from my childhood at all!  Dan remembers every single one of his teachers from elementary school, I can probably only name a couple.  Ooh, I just thought of something.  I remember when i was younger, I'm not sure how young, my sister and I use to play a game called "My room is so clean I can...".  I think she made up this game just so I would clean the room that we shared.  She was always WAY cleaner than I was.  Once our room was clean, we would play this game and take turns doing things in our room because it was so clean.  "My room is so clean I can....do a cartwheel!".  We had a lot of fun playing that silly game.  Maybe I"ll try teaching my kids this game too!

A few hours after writing this post, I thought of maybe one of my actual earliest memories.  I remember when I was in Kindergarten, the whole class was sitting on the "Magic Reading Carpet" and listening to the teacher read us a book.  I must not have been feeling good that day b/c I all of the sudden threw-up on the Magic Reading Carpet....yuck!!!  My teacher had another student take me down to the nurses office, pushing a giant trash can on wheels next to me, just in case I threw-up again.  The magic carpet was rolled up and not used for a while...how embarrassing!!!!

#3: What are 5 places you would like to visit?

Lynette:  I would love to visit England because it just sounds so cool and I would love to see a musical in London.  Russia, because Dan served his mission there and I think he would love to show me around.  Australia, because it just sounds amazing!  Somewhere Tropical because I've never been anywhere like that...Hawaii would be nice.  And the Mall of America!  I believe it is in Minnesota.  I love walking around malls and window shopping..I think I would love the Mall of America!

#2: Were there any foods you hated as a child....do you like them now?

Lynette:  I hated milk, tomatoes, and fish when I was a kid.  I would use milk on my cereal, but never to just drink.  I remember when we would visit my Grandma Simmons in Utah, she would always serve milk with every meal.  I would quickly drink it to get rid of it, but then she would always offer me more...NO thank you!!!  I have since come to like milk much more. I can't say that I drink it with meals or anything, but I don't hate it like I use to.  I love regular old skim milk when I'm having a cookie or brownie...delish!!!  I also like tomatoes a bit more now as an adult.  I don't like them on a burger, but i do like a few of little diced tomatoes on a salad, or on a taco...that's more than I use to!  I hated fish when I was younger and I still hate fish...yuck!!!  Although, strangely enough, I love a tuna fish sandwich!

#1: What sound is the most comforting to you?

Lynette:  I love the sound of music.  I love TONS of different kinds of music and different kinds are comforting at different times for me.  Sometimes crazy dance music is fun to dance around the house to and makes me happy.  I also especially like instrumental music or church music.  Right now I have a CD of piano music and it is so beautiful!  I turn it on multiple times a day just to listen to while I clean or have in the background while I take care of the kids.

Brynlee:  I love "I am a Child of God", "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam", and "Crackers".
I think she thought I said "song" and not "sound".

Dan:  I love to hear the sound of the TV, both as background noise, and when I am sitting there vegging in front of it.  It just calms me down and helps me relax, no matter what has happened during the day.

The Loveridge Family JOURNAL JAR!!

My sister in law, Roxie, gave us a "Journal Jar" for Christmas.
 Here is a picture:

Here's what is written on top of the jar:
"There are lots of questions packed into this jar
To help tell the story of who you are!
Draw out one slip of paper at a time,
Write down the answer and you will find
That soon you will have a whole collection
Of all your fondest recollections.
Give it to one of your dearest relations
And you'll be remembered for generations!"

It has TONS of questions in it!!!  The idea is to pull out a question and answer it in a journal.  It's a great way to write down stuff about your life for future generations.  I don't have a 'real' journal, so I thought I would create a blog to record my answers to my Journal Jar.  And maybe I'll include some answers from my family too!
